I believe we have too many distractions, activities, things that we “love” too much. If we would take the time to really know God and Savior, we would really love Him. And if we really love Him we will give Him our time, devotion, affection, worship and service. How much more we seem to adore our vehicles, our sports, our lawns, our homes, our hobbies, our entertainment our activities, our stuff, our flesh! Heaven help us!

I think this speaks to the question I asked you the other day regarding whether to allow certain computer/video games. If I am convinced, and I am, that there is potentially harmful media and many other sources of enemy ammo that seek to assault my ear and eye gates, and if I pro-actively avoid such, then I can, in confidence (in the work of the Holy Spirit), say “watch me” and “follow me”. I may at times need a reminder to stay the course. And if the reminder is humbly presented I am grateful for the Lord’s nudge to lead on.
